I initially thought that I would label this section “In the beginning” but Precolonial Africa is a who we are/where are a separate section of the Paradigm.
I’ve become enraptured by Dr. John Henrik Clarke. Years ago I first obtained a copy of “Christopher Columbus & the Afrikan Holocaust” many years ago, the Barnes and Noble invoice doesn’t have a date but it was addressed to my old insurance office address. The cover of the book took me back and I thought that the book layout was somewhat sophomoric, and I took offense in the writing style; I continued the research which led me back to Dr. Clarke. I’ve read “Christopher Columbus & the Afrikan Holocaust”, highlighted passages, and watched several YouTube videos decided that along with my other research have decided this is where I should begin.
Dr. Clarke, well-read and researched, emphasizes that the landing of CC in the western hemisphere was not only a misconception but also initiated the destruction on two continents. Besides navigational errors more specifically, Dr. Clarke notes four persistent myths which have lasted to the present (Pg. 34-35):
- “The myth of a people waiting in darkness for another people to bring them to light.”
- “The myth of a people without a legitimate God.”
- “The myth of the primitive and the aborigine.”
- “The myth of the invader and conqueror as civilizer.”
Most disastrous of all their colonizations was the colonization of the image of God. They denied the conquered people the right to see God through their own imagination or to address God in a that came from their own language.” _John Henrik Clarke
